The kooks lead singer to sing in French Band !
Okay, believe it or not, Luke Pritchard is apparently going to to join forces with French band The Dø to record a series of 'cover versions'.
A few weeks ago, Pritchard told the NME that a series of recordings could be released in France on white label, and that the collective would tackle songs including The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band's 'I Won't Hurt You'. This will be an interesting set, an i look foward to the press coverage. Watch this space ! Posted on 07 Feb 2009 by marco

<< Previous 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Next >> The Kooks have definitely made a big jump in the indie scene, coming from nowhere the young bad (Hugh, the youngest at 17), the eldest is 21. They started out at college together in Brighton, gathered some of their music and made a demo. The Kooks got their first gig a few weeks after joining, and were signed by Virgin on the pass of an early show. Since then they’ve definitely hit a spark in the indie scene seeing as in every night club at least one of their songs will be played throughout the night with a scream from fans in the crowd. From a college mess about, in which they didn’t totally agree with each other on the songs they made, to songs being played everywhere and anywhere there’s raving indie lovers is a excellent achievement for such a short time! Even they can’t believe it, they’ve served their apprenticeship by supporting The Thrills on tour, Max from The Kooks says “We’d gone from playing to no-one to playing to hundreds of people. It was a great experience.” (Gigwise.com). Watch this space, The Kooks are continually becoming more and more popular with the youth society in England, and who knows maybe America.
